Finally got AT&T out here today to hook up my new internet and tv!
My boyfriend and I just moved into Viewpointe about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and so far I am happy. I was surprised to hear all the complaints about staff from others reviewers. I didn't meet much of the office staff; and haven't met anyone from the maintenance team either because I haven't needed anything fixed yet.
The thing that made it hard moving in was that there were so many floor plans to choose from. It was hard to decide because there were 3 different styles that I liked very much. I was chatting with the leasing lady, Rudy, and she had asked why we were moving, so I mentioned that it was because we were expecting our first child soon. I was honest with her, I told her we were a little nervous because both of us still lived with our parents; though we both work full time at the butterworth campus of the hospital; and this was not only our first apartment, but first time having bills in our names; living together, everything seemed kind of scary.
She said getting her first apartment was super stressful, too, but that once she got settled she was very excited to start decorating her new home. Anyway, so I told her we were having a baby girl soon; so she suggested this 2 bedroom plan that has this open, sort of euro-style kitchen; so that once our daughter gets older and can crawl (oh my I can't even think that far ahead!) we'd be able to keep an eye on her while cooking n stuff. Well I absolutely loved this floorplan! It lets so much more natural light into the kitchen area! I think its called floor plan B' not sure on that one. But anyways its working out great and along the opposite side of the breakfast bar we can put the highchair or something.
I locked myself out the other day by accident and she gave me a spare key to borrow to get back in, too. And - when you move in - they bring you up to your apartment, walk thru the WHOLE thing with you, just to make sure there isn't ANYTHING that looks out of place to you or that concerns you.
I checked out the pool the other day but didn't go in cuz it smelled all weird. I'm not sure how I should rate them on landscape. Landscaping isn't gorgeous; but heh, it doesn't have to be. As long as my apartment is! And no kitty rent woohoo!
She was very .. thoroughl, I guess the word would be. We had our friends who are looking for a place stop in, too; but I don't know yet if they got approved. I hope so, though, because then we'll get a 100 bucks for referring them! Yay! lol.
Well I think the baby must be craving pickles .. either that or I am, and we still have lots of unpacking to do, so I better go.

Well just to let you know Rudy or Ruby, whatever her name is is the 4th leasing girl they have had in the office since I have lived here-and I have only been here since Dec 2005. The leasing girls come and go often.
