I lived at Viewpointe for 4 years. It was our first 'apartment community' and we thought it was great- til we moved out and realized how badly they truly treated people especially compared to our new place. After moving out and speaking several times with the staff there, we recieved notice stating we didn't turn in our move out notice. They had fired the girl with no notice that we turned it in to and promptly lost not only our move out notice but also the paperwork that stated the 'problems' with the apartment and have put a notice on our credit report despite the fact that we have been trying to get this resolved for the past year. They also kept our entire deposit because they claim we caused damage that was done prior to our moving in. Unfortunately being our first 'apartment community' we didn't realize that we needed to keep our copies because they can't keep their own copies apparently.

Lois and Earl (the manager and the repairman) are cousins and lie for one another. It took them at one point 2 months to fix our washing machine. Finally after I made a big stink about it (I had a 2 year old!) they had someone from one of their other apartment communities come and fix it for us.

Make sure if you do get an apartment from them it isn't on the 'train' side. We did that for 2 years and the whole place shakes and makes a peaceful night sleep difficult. The north side isn't so bad but then you deal with the parking lot for a view.

There are also several convicted sex offenders registered that they live there. Lois 'claims' that they no longer live there, but after all the lies I have heard since moving out I'm not so sure I believe that.

The drive and parking lot are extremely icy and slippery. The back side has no place to 'push' the snow so we had our cars several times stuck in snow since they can't plow it properly. I also fell several times and witnessed several others fall on the ice as well. The back stairwells are nerve wracking as its very difficult to climb and descend. Feels very rickety.

I agree. Lois is a big -----. Steer clear of Viewpointe.
