Windridge Apartments

Not worth it From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/29/2008 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2008   I have been living in this complex for almost 3 yrs. It has been more out of convenience than enjoyment. I have lived in the 1 & 2 bedroom apt and, currently, a townhouse. The tenants vary, but since the walls are so thin it doesn't matter because it is noisy anyways. I have had my storage unit broken into, several vehicles have been vandalized, and the cops are routine visitors. This is not the greatest area, especially with Camelot Apt. across the street. This past winter was a nightmare in regards to snow removal. The maintance only shovelled about 5 times total and the parking lot was ridiculous. The snow plows didn't remove most of the snow and that left limited parking. I had to shovel the pathways almost daily just to get to my car. The office staff was unsympathic. The model apt. they show you is nothing like the apt. you will get. The paint is flat paint and impossible to keep clean and I don't think the apt. have been update since the 70's. They are cheaply maintained and your lucky if you get new carpet. The size of the apt. is worth the rent, but this area is not safe, especially if you have kids. Although, it is a cental location. There are no real amenities, except for the pool. They have raised the rent every time I renew and there are no garbage bins. They only have a trash compactor which is disgusting. You have to drive you garbage to the compactor, which is frustrating when you live near the back of the complex. Don't let the smiling faces in the office fool you, they are not that nice once your lease is signed. There are far better complexes around that are just a reasonable. Stay away if you have a choice.
