Dear Apartment searchers,

I took some time writing this for you so you won't fall into the same crap-trap I did. At first sight, the actual apartment space is decent...but please for the love of god, don't put yourself through the agony of having to deal with this management, or the old utilities. To put it simply, THEY DONT GIVE A $#I% about you or anyone living in the facilities.

My fianc and I have lived here for a little under a year. On numerous occasions we called for help with our terrible utilities. On EVERY occasion, the less-than-handy man did absolutely nothing...and once even blamed US for the dishwasher not working properly. To this day, things are not fixed/ (by the way, you'll pay at least $200/month on electric in the summer if you're on the 3rd floor no question...and we used AC VERY sparingly...this is after the "salesman" whom will not be named (thank me later) said; and I quote: "you're electic AND gas will be no greater than$100). I have no idea how they received the best service team in Michigan...because they're the most unbelievable rude and incompetant people on the planet. Then try dealing with the management staff! ha! My fianc and I wrote complaints about several different things, and asked for a call back...just a call...guess what...we NEVER got a call back. I didn t even get to speak with someone until I went in during the work day and spoke to the manager.

Next, let s talk about manners. Go try to find the 'receptionist'...if you stumbled upon an insanely rude girl who reminds you of a blank wall, caked in tacky red lipstick, you found her! No help what-so-ever. Then there's the sales staff...Now I can't speak for everyone here but ill just call a ball a ball here. Enough said. Please don't be stupid and fall for the 'Free amenities' they provide. That reminds me; the office. On my first day at Woodland Creek, I ventured into the 'professional' office provided to clients, and as I clicked through the documents on my computer and attempted to print; guess what; i found that the printer is not even connected to the computers...and "even if it was, it's broken and has been for 6 months!" - said by the night crew in the clubhouse. And about 3 months after I requested for it to be fixed...still broken.

Lastly, the grounds are disgusting. Woodland Creek put in ponds to attract people, and you know what else' Geese!; and hundreds of them! Geese are generally fine creatures to have around your living quarters, but my feelings for the animal change dramatically when you find GOOSE POOP EVERYWHERE you turn on the grounds. It's distasteful and disgusting...and no one cleans it up; or if they do, they are not doing a good job, b/c it's EVERYWHERE.

I really hope this has been helpful for people to see that these gimmicks that Woodland Creek offer are just a bunch of crap and shouldn't be respected as a reason to move here. (By the way, you're PAYING for the good amenities), so if you're cool handing over a big chunk of change for ONLY your apartment, be my guest. However, if you expect to get what you paid for, you're sorely mistaken.

Good luck finding an apartment rented out by a landlord; not a company (trust me this is the way to go!)

Sincerely,

Someone moving away from this god-awful place

While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, I find it disappointing that you submitted this very negative rating anonymously. It would be my pleasure to speak with you personally about your issues and work together to find a resolution that you would be satisfied with. As a company, Cambridge Partners takes great pride in being named "Management Company of the Year" along with the multiple other service awards we have earned. I'm sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience at Woodland Creek, because this is in no way "the norm" at this community, which is apparent by the fact that our community is over 95% occupied at any given time with people on waiting lists to move in. Please contact me at your earliest convenience so we can discuss your issues personally. Karen Markwat Cambridge Partners, Inc. Marketing Director kmarkwat@mailcpi.com
