SHOCKED!

I recently read a review on my apartment complex and was shocked by the inaccuracy (in my opinion) on many issues.

The first issue and the most shocking was the that this tenant claimed the office staff was rude. I have never in all the years I've lived at Drawbridge encountered anything but friendly, accommodating staff that will bend over backwards to help out any tenant. I can't for a minute imagine anyone being rude in my office complex. The property manager is outstanding.

The second issue was parking. For the small size of the complex the parking is more than adequate and has more parking than any apartment I've lived in or visited AND it has security cameras, which is a huge plus.

The issue of drug smells (beer bottles) in the hallways is more than likely temporary. The complex gets a lot of young (first time out of the nest) renters because of the extraordinary deals they offer on rent and they tend to party a little until they settle in. Two things will usually happen: they move out or grow up.

This complex was built in the 70's and they have put great effort into upgrading. The clubhouse and office are very nice and the pool was completely renovated. The car ports were recently painted and the sidewalks repaired. They are continually upgrading, which is not an easy task when dealing with an older complex. The maintenance staff will usually resolve any issue that day or the next, fantastic and professional.

I commend the efforts, efficiency and professionalism of the staff at Drawbridge Apts and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

just because it is someones first apartment does not give them the right to do what they are doing...and honestly it sounds as if this review was written by the manager...as far as camera for security...show them to me...i herd that the nightly patrol was fired for not doing their job...but this is supposed to be on the "down low"...

My fiance's motorcycle was stolen from below our window, under a light, and their "security cameras" are non-exsistant. When we were instructed by the police to get footage for them, when we made the report, we were told that the signs about cameras were only a deterant, and the only cameras that actually work on-site are by the pool. Also, we've been here since June 2007 - current *Apr 2009, we've never seen a night patrol. We are getting ready to move as soon as our lease is up. Our list of problems have been *dishwasher leaks *under sink is so damaged from previous water leaks, our bottom of the cupboard is bowed almost to the floor. *top cupboards are bowed and coming off from the walls. *thermostats are mercury, and either don't go on at the right temp, or don't shut off at the right temp...IE will be 64 Deg in your apt before the furnace goes on if the thermostat is set to 74, or will be supposed to go off at 74 and stays on til 85 deg. *windows are so unsealed, when we put plastic on the windows, the wind blew the plastic right off! we could see our blinds moving with the wind, plastic or no plastic. management basically told us we're screwed with the windows, when our monthly bill for heating is the same as a 750 sq ft house with a basement and no insulation...

My fiance and I no longer live at Drawbridge. We moved across the street to Weathervane, HUGE MISTAKE. We've been here 5 months and the tenant below us has bed bugs. They drilled holes in our wall to put powder treatment down the walls and still have not patched them, it looks like a drive by. Maintenance is HORRIBLE. Two weeks to fix chaulk around tub, leaking daily. Drawbridge was fantastic and we only moved because there was no two bedroom apt. BEWARE, you may think the grass is greener, it's not always the case. Good luck!
