If there is one piece of advice I could give to any prospective renter seeking to rent with Village Green Companies, it would be strongly suggested not to waste your time or money with these people. To me, any company who takes pleasure in ripping people off, and is proud of the fact that they hold the highest and most outrageous rents (for mediocre quality apartments) is just plain ridiculous.

I found the management with Village Green absolutely appaling! On numerous occassions calls were placed to the property manager on this site, as well as the president of the company. As a resident paying $800.00 a month, one would expect a prompt response to the questions and concerns regarding any resident with problems in the community. After all, we are the ones who keep this company in business. Not once was a return phone call placed regarding my concerns. This must have been the exceptional service that Village Green is so keen on relaying to their residents.



Another concern of mine with Village Green was the non-refund of my security deposit. For those of you who do not know, the State of Michigan has strict guidelines on the procedure for the refund of ANY resident?s security deposit. Besides the fact that they back-dated the date of my list of damages, and sent it out 2 whole months after I had moved (by law they have only 30 days to send that list or else the money shall be fully refunded to the resident), they also demanded payment without first obtaining a money judgement in court (which they must do within 45 days after vacating). Apparently, Village Green beleives that they are above the laws of the state of Michigan, and would like to continue managing their properties making up their own sets of rules and guidelines.



Judging from my experience with Village Green Companies, I have come to the conclusion that they are nothing but over-rated, greedy, manipulative and just down right money hungry people who have enjoy taking advantage of hard working people such as yourself and I only to profit for themselves. Regardless of the thousands of dollars they spend on their landscaping and the million dollar clubhouses they build, I would much rather reside in a community without all of that, if i knew I was being treated fairly, respectfully, and with the upmost appreciation for the dollars I spend to live there. I truly beleive that all the "glitz and glamour" Village Green portrays is just a clever cover-up for the professionalism that they lack. Village Green, like pretty much everything else... if it seems to good to be true, then it probablly is!
