This place is horrible. We are finally moving out after being here for two years. I lived in building 5915 Bois Ile Drive. First, they advertise as having central air however it has NEVER worked. Right now on June 13, 2007, at 5:30pm, it is 89 degrees inside my apartments. Maintenance told me that there was nothing they could do the first summer we lived here so we had to deal with 90 degree days inside. It was cooler outside!!! Now, we get the run around from management and maintenance saying a part is ordered however it NEVER shows up and they never call to let us know what is going on.

Also, there is mold growing on the carpet right underneath the laundry room where the hot water heater exploded. Have they fixed it '!' NO!!! The smell is unbearable when you walk in the door as it is right there and a visible huge watermark circle in the carpet. Any time someone washes, it leaks even more water onto the carpet causing more mold to grow. Maintenance came and "patched" up the water heater as I was told however, the next day we were out of hot water again due to the water heater bursting. Still it was not fixed just patched because water, as we speak, is still leaking onto the floor. Management does nothing but say our hands our tied!!

Also, the lighting goes out in front of the building as well as on my floor and it gets very dark and feels very unsafe. It was not replaced even after calls had been made for 3 days!

There are many cracks in the ceiling leading me to believe there is foundation problems and nails pop out of the wall in our master bedroom. Maintenance was called and they said to just hammer them back in. That is not SAFE!

Please stay away!! It is not work the headache or risking your health as my husband and I have allergies and the mold growth has caused us to be sick the past week. Management doesn't care. It amazes me how cold the apartment office is, but our apartment is burning up... Hmm...

Since we are moving, they could care less to help us but I pray that if you are reading this and thinking of moving here, don't! We made the mistake of staying this long but please don't you do the same.

This person obviously lived on the west side of 5915 Building...It gets the sun all afternoon so in the hot days of summmer you have to run you're a/c and close you're blinds...Otherwis you have an apartment that's 80 plus degrees and you want it to cool down quickly....NO WAY...gey I wonder what the wonderful manager would say about these people....I'd like to know if they paid their rent on time...Yes Lakeview is 35 years old...it does have some nicks...try finding an apartment in Haslett on a lake with three pools and a great 9 hole par three golf course for 675.00 a month... you can't beat it!
