From: dclxvi Date posted: 12/9/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007   My oven has not worked since October 2006. I call at least twice a month to ask them to replace it, each time they agree to come out. I have tried withholding rent, asking them nicely, asking them rudely, all to no avail. I have been stung by hornets a dozen times, with nothing done about it. My neighbor's child had to get stung before they did something. There was a hornet's nest in the laundry room. The close proximity to the lake is nice, however, you will get a lot of bugs as a result. Insect killer can keep them out, but my patio is constantly filled with them in the summer. Needless to say, I hate to go outside. Their maintenance staff takes weeks/months/years to get anything done. The oven aside, my shower needed to be unclogged and would not drain at all. Along with that, the shower faucet leaked. The tub overflowed before they finally came to do something. It's incredibly embarrassing when you need to ask friends if you can shower at their place. All in all, I have had a horrible experience living here. Because of all of the problems we have had, it even put a lot of strain on my marriage. It's tough to be happy when coming home is the worst part of your day. Please don't live at Lakeview.
