I have lived at Cricket Ridge Apartments for over 5 years. They are a good value for the amount of living space and the apartment that you get, which includes a laundry room with a washer/dryer hook-up in each unit. I believe we have around 1200 square feet.

I do have however, have a few problems. They frequently do not plow or salt adaquately. I have 4-wheel drive so the plowing isn't a big deal, but I myself have slipped and fallen several times in the past few years, due to them not salting.

The second problem is the noise level between the 1st and 2nd floor apartments. (DO NOT PICK AN APARTMENT UNDER SOMEONE WHO HAS CHILDREN).

The other issue is that the lease states that carpeting will be replaced every 3 years, but they do not do this! After over 5 years our carpet has yet to be replaced even after several requests.

I have also noticed in the past few years that the crime rate just outside the apartment community has increased. There have been a few shootings, and a murder in recent years. I no longer feel safe walking after dark.


Having said that, I still haven't found a better value elsewhere.
