Don't get stuck here

If Amber apartments had continued ownership of this place, it might not be so bad.

If you want to live in a continuous haze of cigarette smoke, pick building H.

If all goes well our unit will be vacant early.

The building is run down so all the smoke filters up into our apartments, and the residents dont have the courtesy to take their homicide sticks outside.

Rent is cheap, which is probably why we have so many problems with the other residents.

The manager, Kelli, is short with people, and doesn't know what she's doing.

The new maintenance guy is better than the one they just got rid of, but the last guy actually left our apartment in a worse condition when he got through with it.

I would not reccomend this to people looking for a nice, clean, well built place to live.

Spend the extra money and get a nice place.

I would like to invite everyone to stop in and view the South Square Apartments. The buildings and court yard are beautiful. It is obvious that there is a disfruntled tenant living among us. Rent is average and the only problems I see with the neighbors in this community is this person! Quit your habitual bitchen and be an adult. There is smokers every where. Did Amber promise you a smoke free bldg? This is a CLEAN, WELL BUILT and nice place to live, I've been here now for 5 years and have no plans to leave, this is a nice place. As far as this persons rating...you know your lieing, must not have gotten your way.

First off, I would like to respond with "get an education." Second of all, it's certainly not that we didn't get our way. There are gaps in the building everywhere. You know there is a problem when smoke blasts you in the face every time you open up a dishwasher. The building is in fact not that clean, as people leave their garbage in the hallway. I wasn't expecting a smoke free building, but I was expecting not to have to walk through it every day to get to my apartment, and to have to deal with it in my kitchen every time I have to cook. The fact that there ARE (honey the word you use there is "are" not "is") smokers everywhere does not make what we have to go through right. I think it's sad that there are smokers everywhere. And as for problems with me, my husband and I are quiet residents who have not caused problems with any tenants before. I admit that the grounds here are nice. They finally invested in a snow-blower to keep the sidewalks clear, but it took over a month into winter and 6 inches of snow. They rarely have the parking lot plowed, so it's not the safest thing in the world right now.

I have been there and my daughter actually fell on the ice and was afraid of ice everytime she seen it after she fell there .... The post above was more then likely a manager of the apartment complex . Trying to hold on to thier job by swindling people out of thier money with thier dumpy apartments!!!!

I've just taken a tour of the apartments, and frankly, they are much better than many of the places that I've seen. For one, the smoke problem isn't as prominent in the hallways as every other complex I've checked (and I had taken a tour through 3/4 of the apartment buildings). I have also noticed that the parking area is not as cramped, and there is a FREE carport and storage area for every unit. The living room is much wider than most places, and there is actually an area for a dining table to rest on linoleum rather than carpet, which is a big plus. Everything is included save for electricity, which is hard to find. If one rents a home for $400, all of the utilities would make the average rent come out around $600. And it only goes up from there when winter comes around. Ice is a problem everywhere. I've fallen on it numerous times at my home, at school, at work, ice is just something that happens in winter. Also; how in the world is smoke from smokers getting into your dishwasher? There's only a water line and a sewage line that leads into that appliance. It may just be steam. And please realize that most apartments for this price do not have dishwashers. Heck, they don't even have a full size oven. Insulting someone as part of your argument... http://survivingtheworld.net/Lesson865.html Making someone feel stupid will only get them angry. The buildings are better kept than 7/8 of most apartments in this price range, and the other 1/8 is in the upper level of the price range, and one must pay heat on top of that. Please, I'm looking for apartments right now, if you know of a better place around the $500-$650 range where only electric needs to be paid (and no electric heating), and is no more than 15 miles from Lansing, point it out to me. My name is Cheyenne, and my email is chap7693@kettering.edu, if you'd like to show me better apartments. Thank you!
