Granted its been a couple years since I lived at Prentis Estates. However when I did live there it was a nightmare. I had a 2nd floor end unit in the middle and it was extremly noisy. Things would often fall off shelves from all the noise coming from the apartment above me. You could always hear everytime your neighbors came and went. The police department was often seen at this complex. Many of our neighbors were involved in either drugs, parties, or domestic violence. I would say the police were in our building an average of 1-2x a month. Management was very difficult to deal with. Noise complaints were never adequetly dealt with. Maintenance staff was also very incompetent. My understanding is the prior maintenance staff was let go for theft. Glad they finally caught on. Now for the overall layout and cleanliness of the apartment. I was very happy with the size of the apartment. The view of the pond was also very nice. Overall I would NOT recommend this apartment community to friends or family. If you need a budget apartment where noise is not an issue then you might be happy being a tenant at Prentis. I personally feel if they were somehow able to weed out some trashy low life people and the office staff handled things differently then Prentis would be a decent place to live for the lower price.
