Overall, I'll have to say our time at Yorkshire Apartment hasn t been horrible, but I have lived in MUCH nicer, and friendlier places.

What has motivated me to write a review today-
I've lived in Yorkshire Apartment (Howell, mi) complex for 6 months.. we re good tenants.. pay on time, no complaints..

Currently have a 1 bedroom.. We wanted to re-sign a new lease for a 2 bedroom apt, and they are unwilling to give me the same price that strangers off the street walk in and get. We even offered to sign a NEW 1 year lease.. they were unwilling to negotiate..

They have no commitment to their current tenants.. its all about getting the next warm body in the door So if you want to feel like just a dollar sign, and not a face.. this may be the perfect complex for you!

Not to mention.. Yorkshire touts this "safe" community, and require you to PAY for a police background check.. but I have to wonder.. Why are there people in our complex on the Michigan Sex Offenders registry'

Is this just a ploy to make tenants feel safe, while charging them bogus claims'

I am a resident here also. The above statement is correct about not being able to get the same rate as someone that walks in off the street. The thing is though, any where you go it is like that. As far as the sex offender thing... I am also aware of this. I have talked to the office about this and they started to do criminal checks after Huricane Katrina, so those that were here before hand did not have the criminal check done on them. But I did notice that they changed it so that if people renew their lease, they are going to run criminal checks (and that is in affect now for everyone). So I am sure that we are going to be seeing a change in that issue. I haven't had any issues/problems living here and I have been a resident for about 2 years now.

Thats not true....Burwick Farms will give you the off the street price if your a current resident
