i have lived at yorkshire for about a year now. my sister and i share a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. the size is perfect for us, but the community is not.
we are early 20s and tend to keep to ourselves and are very quiet. at least in comparison to neighbors. we can hear the stairs perfectly. it sounds like a heard of elephants running up and down the stairs 24/7. the neighbors above us pound around like they own the entire building. we can hear them until 3am sometimes. the neighbors next door play music so loud that i cant sleep sometimes. this is still going on even after numerous attempts to the office.
in the late summer, when maintenance came around with new air filters for the furnace, i put in a request to get the temperature on my water heater adjusted. i only get a 10 minute hot shower, then it gets freezing cold. it is 6 months later and a couple more attempts to get them in here to do that. no such luck.
after our first snowfall and the snow melted then froze again, there was ice in front of the doorway. i slipped and fell and twisted my ankle. yet another complaint with nothing done.
we do NOT have security doors on the building. our front door to the building is always broken somehow. right now, it will not stay closed and the frame of the window is broken off. it makes the stairway as cold as the outside. its a relief to get into my apartment.
my sister and i decided we wanted out almost as soon as we got over the euphoria of moving out on our own.
we have parking stickers for our cars, but there is NEVER any parking for residents!
snow removal is terrible. our first big snow, and i still had to walk through a foot of snow to get to my car just to dig it out! at 2pm! it took two days for the complex to get snow out of unused parking spots. when we asked for help to get our cars dug out, we were told that they will drop a snow shovel off so we could dig out. no help' even when asked' 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C
