Cottonwood Forest Apartments

Mold issues!!!!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/28/2008 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008   I lived in Cottonwood Forest for roughly 2 years. It started out great but things have quickly went downhill. There is an excessive mold problem. All the windows and slider doors in my entire building have excessive mold build up around the seals. The carpet in front of the slider is absolutely covered in black mold and now the walls in the bathroom and the guest bedroom have mold growing on them. The maintenance's suggestions.....scrub the walls with bleach and hope for the best. Everyone in my building is moving out as soon as possible because of the mold issues. On top of that there is always an issue with the laundry room. In the past two months either the washer or the dryer has been out of order and my room mate and I have had to walk to other buildings to do our laundry. The only issue they fixed is managing to raise the cost of laundry 25 cents a load. THe parking lot is never plowed in the winter so ice builds up and causes quite a bit of trouble as well. You nearly slide into parked cars all winter long. And in the summer spiders are a huge issue! They build nests in the roof of the buildings, especially those near the wooded area and run by the dozens through out the warmer months. Maintenances suggestions.....spray lysol around the windows because spiders hate ammonia. The maintenace staff is just not helpful in situations. I am looking forward to the end of my lease so I can move from here and get something bigger for about the same price and a landlord that will be willing to offer helpful advice when you need it.
