Off the bat, my biggest complaints are: They rip you off as far as heating goes. The insulation, if there is any, is terrible. Your energy bill will leave you living paycheck to paycheck during the winter. As well as losing heat, you will hear everything your neighbor is doing. You will know when the people next to and/or above you are showering or going to the bathroom or simply walking from room to room. You will hear parties that is one or two buildings away and their 10pm "quiet time" policy is NEVER EVER enforced.
For renewers...this is a warning!! Do not renew your lease if you do live here!! You have a large change of being moved to another building and you will not be given notice until just days before you have to be moved! This is the most ridiculous things I have ever heard..and yes it is in the lease so you have no choice.
My question to the Arboretum staff: If you can force someone to move because it is in the lease, then why don't you enforce your quite time rule when that is stated in the lease' I will recommend to EVERYONE..."Do NOT even consider living at the Arboretum unless you like noise, rude staff (besides maintenance), expensive bills and unfair rules that are not communicated properly.

The arbs is a horrible place to live, they never fix anything. always really loud, and they are always coming into your apartment to "check" for safety issues, its like living back in the dorms in that they can come in whenever they want and they dont announce them selfs or anything. Its not safe to live there either, my car was broken into 4 separate occasions and they higher ed a security guard and he just sits in his truck and sleeps and walks around with a flashlight looking at peoples baloneys. no privacy, you can hear even the sliest noise from your neighbor. Dont live there
