Everything you said is true about the parking situation. BIG MONEY SCAMMMMMMM!!! My son's girlfriend (who is a full time student) got her car towed this weekend and I had to go help her get it out because she didn't have the $120 in cash to go get it. I called T & J towing and wanted to know why her car got towed when she parked in an area where there were NO signs stating she couldn't park there. They stated that security from Arboretum alerts them on which cars are to be towed. He really couln't give me an answer but did let me know that he couldn't give me a break on the price because not only does the complex get a cut but Granholm get's about $40 a car. When I went to the complex to make sure there weren't signs posted, I was shocked to see about 4 tow trucks sitting in the lot along with security running around telling these guys which cars to tow. Trust me these are random cars because I was parked right next to her car for about three hours earlier. It's funny how they wait until the weekend when people have visitors to take advantage of these people. So you are right do the math and see how much this scam is getting from these students, friends and family members. Arboretum obviously doesn't care about their reputation. As long as there is a University they feel they will have tenants.
