do not sign the lease without requiring them to change the last month rent amount due to the actual days that you will be living there. They will have a moveout date listed at in the first week of the month,say the 7th for example, but the total amount due for the year will include paying for the entire last month rent-- you are paying them for not living there. Make them put everything in writing, like pets allowed, nail holes in walls, etc or you WILL PAY. They will tell you they allow cats, but if you read the lease it says no pets allowed. if you have a cat, make them change in on the lease. Only the signed lease will hold up in court. Not the untruths they tell you.
