Knollwood epitomizes the ideal college apartment atmosphere. This is the PRIME location for WMU students on the west side of campus. If you have no car, or simply want to walk to class, Knollwood is the place. The price is right, the apartments themselves are more than adequate. Keep in mind that most college students don't need a luxury upscale apartment. Heaters that work well, an open kitchen with ample dining room,,,and they even provide a perfectly square round table for Eukre and etc. for late night time wasting to get away from homework. Also, they offer comfortable sofas and love seats for the open living area... (yes, they are perfect for laying down and watching a movie) ... Also, a perfect guest bathroom downstairs is great for company and if you are lazy and don't want to go up the circular stair case to the bedroom wing. Having an upstairs gives this apartment a huge bonus. Upstairs hallways to 2 seperate bedrooms with BUILT IN desks and chairs provided AND bookshelves provided to throw your school work on. The bathroom has multiple sinks with a door seperating the toilet and shower. I lived in the 2 bed townhome with a roomate for a year and the single 1 bedroom alone for a year. PERFECT APARTMENTS for WMU students,,,,especially freshman or sophomores. Start on the West side....meet friends, and then get a rental home on the East side for Junior and Senior year. NOTE....when I lived in the student ghetto on the East side,,,,I DROVE TO KNOLLWOOD, and parked in the GUest parking to WALK TO CLASS......This is THE BEST location for getting to class . . . AND plenty of people to meet, plenty of stores, laundry locations etc. RENT AT KNOLLWOOD,,,,,,it does NOT get better

This guy is f'ing nuts..these apartments are horrible. First of all the sofa's they give you are at least 10 years old and smell stale because if the people who lived in your apartment before you brought their own furniture then they take theirs and put it in ------ storage for the year. So when you get it it has that lovely smell. The bathhrooms are the worst i've ever experienced in my LIFE. The toilets rarely work by themselves and the shower drain doesn't work. And if you go to the front desk they tell you to hire someone and fix it yourself because it's not your problem (Even though it's like that when you move in) Besides the horrible smell in each apartment I have never lived with so many bugs in my life, and i'm not talking about the small ladybug size ones, i mean grasshopper sized bugs. That's another thing they tell you to fix yourself. This place is horrible, I wouldn't even wish it on my worst enemy to live here. I have never wanted a year to go by faster, this place is so disgusting i haven't even slept here in over 3 weeks. I stay at my friends places or my boyfriends because they are not safe and are sick. If you still want to live here after everything just BEWARE!!
