Horrible

Campus Court was the worst living experience I have had. They screwed me and my roommates with high rent without fulfilling what all they promised us from the beginning. It took months for everything to be open as far as the pool and so called "state of the art facility" goes. The maintenance was terrible. They would tell us we were at the top of the list every time we went in and it took literally months for them to come. One of my roommates had a serious mold and leak problem that they did not address until after 5 months of living in the apartment. It would have been 6 if we would have moved in at the time we were supposed to. They called and told us we could not move in on the signed date until 4 weeks after the date we signed for. When we arrived it was not even finished. There were no blinds in the entire apartment and in my particular case no bathroom handle letting anyone who walks by see me on the toilet. It took 2 and a half months before blinds were installed, forcing us to change in the bathroom and allow anyone to see into any and all rooms of our apartment. As far as the internet goes it is 40 megabytes/s. It sounds fast until you realize that the half of the time that it actually works, it is being shared by the entire complex. I would guess there has to be at least 400 people. I wouldn't even compare it to dial-up since dial-up actually works most of the time. When you complain they give you the ISP number and you have to go through a serious of people and holds just to talk to someone with enough sense to answer you saying that it should be fine shortly which it has never been fine. We had mold through our entire kitchen ceiling which had to be cut out 4 months after moving in and when they finally cut it out, they left ALL of the scraps and dust from the drywall everywhere on the kitchen counters. You seriously could not see even half of the counter top when they finished. My closet has had a large stain since I've moved in that has yet to be dealt with after numerous complaints and being "on the top of the list." Then they have the nerve after telling us when we first signed up that rent would be lower the next year to raise it if we wanted to re-sign the lease. As for the parking, the first 2 months if you were not home by 8 you had to park 2 blocks away from the nearest building which could be up to 5 blocks away depending on where your building was located. They say they pay Western Michigan University to use their parking lot as Guest Parking, but apparently the guest parking you have to have your car moved by 8am, just like every spot on the entire campus. They don't pay them for anything, they just say they pay for it to save face. Trying to confront them just leads you around in circles, it is a horrible place to live and I would not recommend it to anyone. Every neighbor I have talked to has similar stories and hate this place too.
