The Amenities of Campus Court '''''

Adding to the hatred of everyone else here at Campus Court, I would like to add some dangers of living here. After waking up to dump trucks, hammers, table saws and construction workers for 4 months I thought the problems were finally over but no, not here at CC at Knollwood. My roommate and I were hanging up some pictures after we moved in and everything went fine. Then a week later I decided to take the picture down and hang up a new one, not realizing I could have possibly died from doing so. When I removed the first nail from the wall it came out without any incidents, as they should, but when I pulled the next nail out I was surprised by a strange hissing sound coming from the nail hole. I knew immediately that the only reason my wall was hissing was because the nail hit a gas line and was stuck in it until I pulled it out a week later. Unfortunately no one had previously notified me of the possibility of death from hanging up a simple picture. The gas lines are cheap corrugated aluminum tubes and not the 1/4 inch lead pipes they should be and are located two inches behind the drywall. Luckily it only took them two days to get someone to come in and replace the line and install new drywall, after which I came home to find drywall dust and pieces left on the floor. This place is dumb.
Every apartment I have lived in has always had more than adequate parking for my guests and myself, but those amenities are way too much to ask for here at CC. My friends have to park at the ice arena where they can only stay until the morning without being ticketed. My friends have gotten tickets there and worrying about that should not be on my mind when friends visit. Tow trucks come through here regularly and if you don't have a parking pass you will be towed. In some cases (MINE) you can actually still get towed for having a parking permit. There are no signs that indicate a fire lane, so when I parked there after driving around for ten minuts trying to find a parking spot I thought nothing of it. The next day on my way home from class I came home to see my car on the back of a tow truck and being nice to people never works here. Management is terrible and they refused to pay for my ticket even though I LIVE HERE and there is nowhere to park. If you leave after seven o' clock you most likely will be without parking when you return. Then you drive around until someone leaves or park in a spot that your car probably won't be in the next morning. My roommate has also been towed and some of our friends down the street as well. So if you live here I hope you don't have any friends or they ride bicycles.
More on the amenities..... they claim to have high speed internet, a resort style pool, a state of the art fitness center and TONS OF PARKING ..... see for yourself (LINK) i'm going to go down the list..... http://property.onesite.realpage.com:80/templates/template_pinnacle_og/amenities.asp'w=pinnacleknollwood&siteid=1188709
Free tanning--- yeah, only allowed when management is present.
Resort style pool--- absolutely no resort here!!!! unfinished until october then closed, no hot tub but an 20 sq. ft. empty concrete space that should have one.
Tons of parking---- I can't believe they actually put this on their website, someone should sue for false advertisement.
State-of-the-art fitness center---- includes a bowflex, two tredmills and 10 free weights..... I'm not sure if that qualifies for state of the art.
Lounge and group study area-- doesn't exist... unless you study in the lobby watching a 60 inch plasma... and want to listen to residents coming in and out getting mail or complaining how terrible the internet is, that their car got towed, etc....
Lease by bed or unit--- they actually have this but no one here pays rent because they are so unorganized....
Walk to campus--- this is what you do when you get towed, or what your friends have to do when they come visit. also you need to watch out for dog poop because the irresponsible pet owners here let their animals do what they want and don't clean it up
Indoor basketball court--- the basketball court is nice.... esspecially if you don't live here, cars full of people who don't live here come here at night and take up the whole court..... and more of the parking spaces
So that is the real description of the amenities they claim to possess. the "high-speed internet" has been a complete joke since I moved in. I have not been able to get work done because the internet won't load or it just loses the connection in the middle of an online assignment.
I could keep going on with the problems here but the internet might cut out on me and i have already wasted enough of my life writing this and living here. I hope this helped with your decision and you make the best decision you have ever made, NOT to live at Campus Court at Knollwood.

I'd say that this is pretty correct, but to further the negative comments on the amenities, there are no free weights in the gym. Their should be free weights, but all they have is a stand for free weights that is empty. As for the tanning only being available when mgmt is present, that is for liability because all the over blonde orange skinned wet seal wearing whores at western would bake themselves to death if it weren't supervised.
