Well ..Campus Court was not exactly what I was expecting it to be due to the management s over-exaggerated descriptions of the complex, but over-all it s a NICE place to live.
First the Good:
-EVERYTHING is BRAND-NEW!! New Stainless-Steel Appliances, New Carpet, new paint, ect. Having a brand-new apartment is a luxury, especially in a college town where apartments get run down so quickly.
-The Community Club House contains many of the perks of living in this complex, such as: High-Pressure Tanning Beds, Work-out room, B-Ball Court, Instant Coffee Machine.
-Generous sized apartments
-Individual Leases
-Washer and Dryer in Each Unit
-Walk-in-closets
-Pet Friendly!! (Not that many nice apartments in Kalamazoo allow pets.)
-In my experience maintenance issues are handled very quickly. Our maintenance guy, Mike, is awesome make friends with him and he ll defiantly take care of you.
Now the bad:
-According to their website there is Tons of Parking . That s a flat out lie! Through talking to a friend and CC employee I found out that they only provided the bare minimum amount of parking required to fulfill city ordinances, which is ONLY 2 parking spaces per apartment unit (not one / per bedroom). Since there are many units larger than 2 bedrooms this is obviously that there is not enough parking. What was management s solution: park up at Lawson Ice Arena I don t pay the ridiculous amount of rent that I do to have to park off the complex property. Being a single woman living on my own, the walk from the parking lot to my apartment can sometimes be quiet nerve-racking at night, particularly when I have encounters with the local homeless, or drunken frat boys wandering around up there.
-Because this is a new complex management is still pretty unorganized. I have gotten notices on my door stating that I owed the complex money, but when I look at the ledger they actually owe ME money. Sharon, our property manager is a very sweet lady, and from what I have been told completely over-worked, so a lot of issues do not get resolved as quickly as I would like them to be, which can be quiet frustrating at times.
-According to their website there was suppose to be Hardwood Floors in every unit, again this was a flat out lie! Instead they used faux lament wood, which is constantly lifting and peeling off the floors. Again through talking to my friend and CC employee I found out that the flooring they used came with a warning that it was recommended not to be used in bathrooms and kitchens (which is were it was used in anyways), this was recommended because when it was in contact with water the glue holding it down would release the floor boards and began peeling up, which it has been doing in my unit.
-According to their website there is a Resort-Style Pool . I been to quiet a few resorts .. This pool doesn t compare! The pool is far to small, and there are not enough chairs to accommodate residents, not to mention the non-residents and even high school kids that come in on a daily basis.
-According to their website there is high-speed internet in each bedroom . It is true that they do provide Internet, but it s far from high speed. I can count the number of times that I have been kicked off the I-Net while taking an exam. Just this morning I had to call the CC Office to get the help-line number for the Internet Company, so that I could get into the Internet to post this.
-NOISE IS HORRIABLE!! I live near (not even next to it, just Near it!!) the pool, and I feel like I wake up to Spring Break EVERY-DAY. Rather than keeping order in the complex, management promotes this SB mentality by hiring D.J. s and cover bands, by buying beer kegs, hosting games which for lack of better terms we will call two girls jumping into the pool, taking their swimsuit tops off and completely exposing themselves, and than switching their swimsuit tops what the point of this game is, I am still trying to figure out! My walls literally VIBRATE because of the noise! Don t get me wrong, I DO enjoy hanging out and drinking at the pool every now-and-again, but I feel as tough there should be some consideration made to those residents, such as myself who live within the vicinity of the pool area. The noise is a very big distraction from school, and sleep for that matter.
Regardless of all of the negatives about this complex, I would still recommend living here. In my opinion they re the nicest places in Kalamazoo to live and they have the most amenities.

You had those few good things that are said to you in the brochures, but you had that ridiculously long list of bad things, yet you would still recommend this place??? Sounds like you're a little confused. This looks like a bad review to me...
