When I moved to this apartment it was not owned by a faceless Texas corporation. This corporation has sense spruced up the area, but then (as I suspected because I am cynical) they have cunningly increased the price for its aminities. Suddenly, although I have a lease for set amount of money, they also charge me for additional expenses ("sewage," "lighting," etc.). I do not know what else this rather shady company will do next.

Advantages:
I do not hear my neighbors whatsoever. I can always park near my complex.
The area has some nice trees and shrubs. During the summer one can play tennis or visit the pool.

Disadvantages: The kids who live here litter constantly and are disrespectful; I constantly pick up junk mail, wrappers, etc. from the hall floors and outside.
I constantly encounter a moronic groundskeeper here who says "Gimme $50" or "Where my money'" (I am barely living above the poverty line, moron.)
Apparently, the office does not have a screening process; some of its tenants appear as if they are pseudo-gangsters, and they blare music.
THE HORN HONKING MUST STOP. I was awakened countless times by idiots who honked their horns for their friends at 11 P.M.-- not just a light "beep," either.

Overall assessment: If you are a WMU student you will probably not find a lot of better apartments that are conveniently located near the campus.
Special note to WMU students: I think most of the people who have whined about this place ("Ghetto Trails") have lived with their parents too long. I am going to move to Ann Arbor soon, and trust me...I wish I could uproot my complex and place it there.

However, if you are not a WMU student, do not live here. 'Nuff said.
