Gorgeous Courtyard and Cat Friendly. Best Apt. I've Lived In.

I would say the #1 thing I have loved about this place is the open courtyard and single level townhome feel. Being able to walk up to your own door is almost priceless. No security buzzers or loud people milling around in hallways, just peace and quiet. I have people on all 5 sides of me and thankfully, the walls are good and thick. I can't hear my neighbors business and that suits me just fine!

Clayborne has been everything i expect from an apartment and more. I've lived here 3 years now and I'm gonna really miss living here. (moving up north closer to aging family).

The Manager, Joe, has been great from day one. Joe has this humbleness about him that I've always liked. He's in a word, approachable. I know Joe would help me do just about anything because i think he just cares that much about his tenants. He's also been great with me about rent that occasionally was a day or three late, although I probably shouldn't advertise that! *smile*

Matt the Maintenance man is also a winner. He'll give you a hand moving things and he does a great job keeping the grounds up. In the Winter he's always out there shoveling and making a path and the salt is always available and close by. The light bulbs around the complex are rarely ever out and if they are, he seems to have this esp about him because they don't stay out long!

I have 2 cats and Caesar and Mr. Grumbles are gonna miss the open courtyard view i have of the Gazebo. They LOVE sitting in the window and watching the birds flitter in and out of the trees that are just outside of my walkway. I love that they have trees and bushes and a nice soft green lawn, such a joy when you compare that to living in one of those 3 story cubicle huts that most apts end up being. Also, Joe is VERY reasonable about the pet fees, I've been places where they want $50.00 PER CAT per month, you won't be shocked or repelled by that here.

You can get to know your neighbors if you choose, I've gotten to know a bunch of them and its been all good. its a wide range of folks, like 20-65. In the spring they have a yard sale and they have trash bins and cardboard bins aplenty. The mailbox is close by and you get your own key to it plus if you get a big box they have a lockdown for that too so that's been good.

Overall I couldn't recommend these guys more. Its been a pleasure and should i find my self back in Kalamazoo, i'd love to come live here again! - James
