I have lived here for three years, and am currently seriously considering moving out. The main problem is not the management or the apartments themselves, but the neighbors. Our first year here was fine, but after that problems began adding up. To be fair, I'll list the pros first.

Pros: apartments are larger than most, pet-friendly (dogs too), rent is inexpensive, windows on two sides including one in the bathroom, storage in the basement, very convenient location.

Cons: the biggest problem: a lot of drug users! They busted a meth lab here a couple of months ago. There are potheads and crackheads. One neighbor screams obscenities at her family at all hours of the night with the windows open, and all the times we have called the police have had no result. The drugs are the main reason I am moving out. This is not the environment in which I want to raise my 5-year old daughter. Also, the water is often yellow or has grit in it. There is also a fire safety concern, because the smoke alarms are not hard-wired for the entire building. The apartment above ours caught fire, and the only reason we knew was because the neighbor warned us as she was running out! Her apartment was destroyed, and they had to re-do the whole interior of it. We were very lucky the fire department was able to save the rest of the building, because we had no renter's insurance at the time (get renter's insurance - it's cheap and worth it!) Also, last month a neighbor hit and damaged our parked car and did not admit to doing it. We had to enlist the help of the police to get her to admit to it. There is only one washer and one dryer for each building, which has 8 apartments in it. As you may guess, it can be difficult to get to use them, especially on weekends. My neighbors have been courteous about sharing them, though. If you don't smoke, you may not want to move here, because it seems that the majority of people here are smokers. Some even smoke in the laundry room (basement) which has no ventilation!

Anyway, for anyone reading this, I would say keep all the above in mind if you're considering moving here.
