I personally enjoyed living at Dover Hills for the most part, but there were definitely some issues. First, you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do..including having sex in the bedroom above you..no joke. Also, make sure you read the fine print in your lease! We had the biggest hassle trying to move out of Dover Hills. My room mate and I never sent the letter saying we would like to resign, so assuming we would have no issues to turn in our keys on our last day and get out, turns out you have to have a 30 day written notice of your plans to move out. We got screwed into paying another months rent, and trust, it wasn't cheap!

Everyone knows that you have to give at least some kind of notice to move out of your apartment whether written or verbal. I lived at Drakes Pond and they require a 60 day notice to vacate, talk about reading about reading the fine print. The fact is that I should have consulted my lease.

yeah - Michigan Law is 30-60 days and some places like Millcreek only let you give notice on the 1st of the month. If you send it in after the 1st - they will not consider it a 30 day notice until the 1st of the next month - like the others said - YOU need to refer to your lease.
