I lived in a 3 bedroom by myself. My washing machine never worked, and the maintenance would come once a week to fix it, but even with their incompetence I probably spent $150 that year at the laundry mat. The walls were paper thin and I lived in a building of young families. I was 21 and living by myself, I did not have parties, or anything like that but I did recieve 2 noise violations. One that told me I needed to switch my alarm clock off the buzzer because it was annoying my upstairs nieghbor. At the time I was working as a bartender and I would get out of work at like 3 am, then I would come home and take a shower. I received a letter asking me to not do this at 3:30 in the morning because it woke my neighbors. Are you kidding me'! I definitely did not renew.
