I've lived here for 2 years now and will be signing another lease in June. I have lived in two different buildings and have loved living on both the first and second floors. We've only had one real problem and that was with a noisy upstairs neighbor who loved playing his keyboard at 2am; and the walls aren't even thin. I called the 24-hour number and it was taken care of. We've had a few maintenance problems; our dishwasher for example. The staff has always been friendly to us and the maintenance guys are always there the same day and fix it right the first time. Gary even walked our dog while our dishwasher was getting fixed. Again the only problems we've had are with dumb neighbors who lack common sense and courtousy. I've lived in Kalamazoo for over 6 years and have lived in various rental homes and apartments in various neighborhoods and this is the best I've ever experienced. So, my suggestion to those with problems with noise is to call the 24 hour number and the security personel will come and tell your neighbor to shut the hell up. Or better yet complain to the office. Three strikes and they're out. They really do need more visitor parking; I hate coming home and finding a bunch of visitors in resident spaces. Also I love the trails in the back of the complex. They're great for walking your dog and going on runs.
