It's a shame that msot of the reviews are negative about Drake's Pond. Sure, there are hassles, but from what I've read, the complaints sound like intolerant, impatient people expecting perfection. I too thought little of the staff the first time I lived here, but instead of getting upset, I put on a smile and acted rationally. I have never had a problem since. Sure, a few times I've had to call 5 or 6 times to get something done, and while I'd love immediate responses, I accepted that I'm not the only person living here and there's probably others with much bigger issues than mine. Unless it were something I absolutely could not live with, I'm patient with the responses. I agree with another reviewer that John and Kate are great, and so is Shawn. I enjoy seeing them when I stop in for a package or a request.
