Ok, So i moved into Drakes pond and problems started from the begning. I had a reserved spot that was given to three different people by three different sales people. So i compromised.
A little about myself- An airline manager who has moved 5 times in the last 7 years and not once complaint about any apt accept Drakes Pond.
When my roomate and i moved out, we were told to pay damages to the apt to replace carpet that was damaged in one spot. cost was inflated to over $500. Since my 19 yo roomate )who works for a non profit organization and makes very little money) caused the damage she offered to pay. She was making bi monthly payments in person to Drakes pond in Cash. One day she went to the office and told them she belives she paid in full but they still called me. They advised her that she should not worry since "we will screw his credit and not yours". Shocked and disapointed at the comments, she asked for recipts for all cash paid, and was told no. Where did the cash go? Why would someone tell a persons friend not to worry since my credit will be screwed? is that a way to run an establishment?
Story not finished yet - I called Drakes pond and offerd to make payments for the reminder of the mysterious fee since my roomate and i had no recipts. Drakes pond refused and sent account to collections.
Kalamzoo has plenty of inexpansive apartments with GREAT ammenties. Do not rent from these two faced people. The pool is dirty most of the time, and snow removal in the winter is a disaster. Oh, and lets not forger the gym that every single person in Kalamzoo has a dup key for and comes to work out in that tiny place.
Drakes pond you will get your money, but Karma will get you - Shuna you especially.

There was small damage before I moved in, the office never made an inspection. I called them twice, but they never showed. Then I was charged to repair the damage when I moved. Avoid Drake's Pond!

Same stuff here they seem to charge almost every teneant who moves out for carpet at a greatly inflated cost... It is expected that normal wear and tear on carpet and the apr in general should be covered by the extrememly overinflated rent costs that they charge for the "luxury" apts. Luxury they are not.. They discriminate againt people constantly and for god sake dont be late with your rent because they file for an eviction almost immediatly.. The local court system hates to see there lawyers coming in as they pull the same crap ecery month, They overload the local court just so they can charge tenants who are a few days late a huge legal charge and pocket it. These apts are trash and so it the managment. They are rude and lie frequently.
