My roommate and I liked the apartment itself fine, there was just a lot of plumbing problems. It started one day a couple months into the lease, when the vent in the bathroom was pouring water all over the bathroom. Apparently there was a leak in the pipes, and since we're on the first floor, we got the brunt of it. They had to replace part of the ceiling. Also, There was previous water damage under the paint when we moved in. They assured us that they fixed the problem. Now, it seems like every week we have the water shut off for about four hours at a time in the morning, so it's a trial trying to get ready in the morning. Everytime they shut off the water the pipes rust and when you run the water again the sediment from the rust fills the bottom of the tub. It's really gross. Oh and the toilet runs all the time, so you have to hit the handle a lot. The plumbing here could use some work.

My other complaint was that the screens in the windows are not fitted to the window, so there are a lot of bugs coming in on nice days when I keep the window open. Duct taping the screen to the window did not work. In the fall there was a ton of these red and black bugs on the outside of the window, that came into my room, I would find about 10 everyday. Gross! The fix the landlord gave me is a can of bug spray (which didn't work). Also, in the winter there's a strong draft, so put up the plastic.

On a lighter note, if you live here try to get an upstairs apt, because I can hear every step the ppl above me take. I think there are less bugs up there too! The maintenance is really prompt, they will come out the same day usually. Most of the time w/in a few hours. Parking is fine, but visitor parking is limited. No problems with the appliances or a/c. The GPA discount is really nice, and the rent is cheap, especially due to all the utilitites included. For the money we paid, it wasn't a bad deal, just a lot of plumbing problems and I can't stand bugs.
