Very Nice, but be careful!!

I lived here for a year and a half. They are some of the more expensive apartments in Kalamazoo. Very nice grounds, very homish, fireplaces, nice wood interiors, large balconies and excellent maintenance. However...They are right next to the University, and I thought that if I moved in there, I could weed myself away from the students, since they are expensive. I think because I was young (23) they put me in the "Kids corner". I am a working professional, and wanted quiet neighbors. I have young college kids living below and to the side. It could get very noisy. Across from me, I had an elderly couple. I told them that I wanted a quiet apartment. Granted, some of the people moved in after I did. Just be careful. There are still kids on mommy and daddy's money who live there like it was a college dorm. Other than that, Lake Forest was great, and all my guests commented on how beautiful the apartment was. Finally, guest parking is horrible. There is no assigned parking, and I often had to park away from my apartment. Your only option is a garage, which is around $60 a month additional. Overall however, I would rate the apartments as verh good to excellent in cleanliness, comfort and service.
