I liked this place

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
I lived here for two years as a student. My roomate and I had one of the nicest buildings in the complex, the kind with 3 bedrooms and a view of the lake from a balcony. Did I get a noise complaint from my neighbors' Yes. I had a party on a Saturday night, but it wasn't anything out of control, and we did turn down the volume upon her request. Otherwise we were barely home, we students weren't the problem, imho. Besides, three seperate noise complaints to the landlord is grounds for removal of any noisy neighbors - just bear that in mind.
That said, our experience at Lake Forest was great. And I hate to say it, but the office staff was actually very nice - I only experienced the office staff's personality while picking up delivered packages though. The lighting at night time is very good. There is/was a security person on the grounds. Parking is okay, it'd be nice to have more lots, or closer guest lots. The towed a friend's car once for not parking in the right lot one night - that really angered me.
The trails are very fun to walk or jog on. There's a very nice sitting area on a bridge near the entrance. I liked that our apartment had built-in laundry machines, a microwave, and even a fireplace (which we used once).
My only real complaints I guess are the zero-tolerance towing policy and our cranky whining upstairs neighbor who would stomp on the floor so loud that she actually made a ceiling fan fixture drop to the floor. Otherwise, this place was great.
