lake forest apartments are very poorly renivated, everything looks nice but if you live here a few weeks you will see that the apartments are very cheaply built the maintenece people couldnt fix anything,there are multiple burns in our carpet. We have had 2 fires in less than a year. THE RODENT PROBLEM IS HORRIBLE THE OFFICE REFUSES TO HELP! I CAN HERE THE NEIGHBORS COFFEE POT IN THE MORNING. Theres is absolutely no parking! i have found stolen cars parked here i have reason to believe that people have siphened gas out of my car in the parking lot. Peoples cars have been vandalized and stolen. Management is very rude they have no management ability and are not very smart at all pertaing to what they are supposed to do. Lake Forest also sends you a bill for sewage and water bills even if you do not use the water (meaning if u leave on vacation) you will recieve a bill it is grouped together. There is dog ---- everywhere the offices do not clean anything and will not care about you or your guests! The appliances some are in ok condition but most work very poorly and have been obviously abused. CAN NOT OPERATE FIREPLACE BECAUSE THEY ARE FAULTY THEY WILL CATCH FIRE. I STRONGLY DISAGREE RENTING HERE CANT WAIT TO MOVE!

This post just made my day! I think it's funny that they were supposed to send an inspector to check the fire places... No one ever came!

I agree with you completely! I live on the third floor and haven an ant/moth problem that you would not believe.

OMG i have had the same problems!!! I wish i would have read this before i moved in! I have a rodent living in my walls which makes it very uncomfortable to sleep at night. The office did not care at all! Also, they are supposed to be responsible for the snow removal they DO NOT take care of it at all! I fell on the steps twice and a girl fell on the ice outside the workout room and they refused to do anything! They just told me that its Michigan... and its impossible to get to each apartment to remove the snow. Although, the snow had been there for 3 days. The reason i live in an apt is because i am in grad school and work 2 jobs i don't have the time to shovel the sidewalk and steps to my apt, which is what i had to do most days. I thought this is why i pay so much rent....They never cleaned the gutters so the icicles were ridiculous plus the ice on the sidewalks was terrible. Also, there has been no upkeep. My roof is leaking, my wash machine hose burst one day, the dishwasher is disgusting and they refused to replace it, the carpet was nasty and stained when i moved in. I would strongly suggest not moving to Lake Forest, especially if you ever have guests over there is only about 10 guest parking spots, which are miles away!!
