Increasing number of kids, college students, and dogs. Increasing rent. Decreasing standards.

Instead of replacing a dying bush in on one side of my door in front of my place they just took it out and left an obvious bare spot. They didn't use to allow dogs, now they do, big noisy ones that poop a lot. There didn't use to be any screaming kids, now there are every time I go outside. At one point the tennis court must have been usable, but that was before my time. There use to be some kind of income requirement that kept out the noisy drunk college kids, now they rule the night.

I have had at least two problems requiring multiple visits that never got fixed by maintenance and sometimes when maintenance fixing a problem its worse than when they started. I used to have a decent washer/dryer, then one of them broke, now I have a cheaper and smaller washer/dryer combo. I had a problem with my oven thermostat, so they took out the oven, stove, microwave, and one of my cabinets so they could give me some cheap replacement unit.

This year they didn't let us use our fire places all winter. They're charging for utilities that used to be included and you have to wait for them to bill you before you can pay your rent.

Maybe when you lived here you had to pay for utilities and rent together. But the whole time I've been here, I've paid using separate checks for utilities and rent. Never heard any complaints from the office staff. I also receive my utility bill about a week or two before rent is due - if I waited until rent was due to pay the utilities, the utility bill would be late!
