This is a very serious review, Lake Forest does not care about its occupants, I have lived here more than a year and can not wait to move out. I have had numerous broken windows in my car due to burglary becasue there is not parking i am forced to park far from my apartment. Second, I could not sleep in my apartment very well and would go home for weekends and sleep like a dream then my mother told me to check the heating cooling system filters to check for dust and mold. But lake forest left me a bulletin months prior saying they changed all filters sometime in april, THey didnt i wish i could show you the dust and mold that accumulated in the filter after the half our i spent to get the pianted on vent off to reveal the filter. It loolked like a dust bowl inside of this induction system. THen i checked the vents and they are totally disgusting years and years of other peoples dirt and dust had been forced through to our lungs and belongings. Now i know the importance of H/Vac filters. Lake Forests rent is also going up and the quality of living is what i would compare to staying in a super 8 motel. SO PLEASE DONT BE FOOLED BY THE NICE LANDSCAPE YOU CANT SLEEP OUT SIDE AND BESIDES THERES DOG ---- EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!

OMG i have had the same problems!!! I wish i would have read this before i moved in! I have a rodent living in my walls which makes it very uncomfortable to sleep at night. The office did not care at all! Also, they are supposed to be responsible for the snow removal they DO NOT take care of it at all! I fell on the steps twice and a girl fell on the ice outside the workout room and they refused to do anything! They just told me that its Michigan... and its impossible to get to each apartment to remove the snow. Although, the snow had been there for 3 days. The reason i live in an apt is because i am in grad school and work 2 jobs i don't have the time to shovel the sidewalk and steps to my apt, which is what i had to do most days. I thought this is why i pay so much rent....They never cleaned the gutters so the icicles were ridiculous plus the ice on the sidewalks was terrible. Also, there has been no upkeep. My roof is leaking, my wash machine hose burst one day, the dishwasher is disgusting and they refused to replace it, the carpet was nasty and stained when i moved in. I would strongly suggest not moving to Lake Forest, especially if you ever have guests over there is only about 10 guest parking spots, which are miles away!! I should check my filter as well because all winter i have been sick and i NEVER get sick...
