I have lived in Lake Forest for almost one year and it has been the most creepy, disgusting, irritating experience of my life. I have been infested with crickets (very large ones), mice, ants, and various other visitors (at least cricket chasing has kept my cat entertained). Also, the walls are VERY thin! I can hear everything, toilets flushing, walking, dogs running and toys being thrown, TVs, many parties... It is definitely not the kind of apartment that you can call your home. It's very old and I have to agree that the snow removal is less than desirable. They leave jugs of de-icer at your door through the winter and you are responsible for salting your own area. Also, they decided in December that we would now be responsible for paying trash even though is was agreed on upon move in that trash removal was covered by the complex. So that means that the complex now pays for nothing. So a decent rent, around here, does not mean that you wont be paying through the nose in other ways. FYI, the consumers bills (for a one bedroom) are out of this world high. The windows are old and there are huge spaces in the doorways; not good for insulation purposes. My ceiling has leaked numerous times and their way of fixing it is to re-paint and spray a sealant on it, God forbid they were to replace that area of dry wall so mold doesn't form. I could go on forever... don't live here, please look elsewhere!!

it surprises me that such a beautiful complex would be so terrible!! I've lived in a lot of different apartments around Kalamazoo and this is by far the worst one (and most expensive). What a disappointment!!
