Grrr

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
Upon moving here, after paying a cleaning fee, we had to take care of the cleaning ourselves. (which was a disaster)Our things constantly broke, particulary in the kitchen and the bathroom. Maintenance would take what seemed like decades to show up or respond. (We had a hole in our bathroom ceiling for about 4 months. Right above the shower. In which insects enjoyed coming through. When it was finally fixed, it was such an amazingly horrible looking job that we thought we would've been better off doing it ourselves.)
A few months into living here we were randomly charged 200 extra dollars else we would have to be evicted. We called to find out where this 200 dollars came from only to find that the office was almost always closed during office hours and the one time I got ahold of them they said they'd call us back on the matter. Which, of course, they never did. Back to trying to get ahold of their random hours...
This is the worst apartment experience I could imagine. Maintenance is awful, teamed up with very bad conditions with the things that require maintenance, horrible heating (one room in our apartment is like antartica), we have at least 5 different kind of insects that live and breed in our bathroom, our power goes out whenever there's a snow or thunder storm over mild levels, and although the manager is very nice and reasonable, she seems more a myth than a reality as she is never to be found.
I would suggest looking elsewhere for an apartment.
