I fell in love with my two bedroom rehab apartment when the office manager showed it. New appliances, dish washer, ceramic tile in the kitchen and bathroom, vanity mirrors, walk in closet, nice light fixtures...and only $600 a month. However, you definitley get what you pay for. Closer inspection revealed shoddy work: half painted walls, carpet laid crazy, taped windows...then stuff started to break- the towel rack, the toilet, the lights. The maintenance at this complex is horrible. These guys are on hardcore drugs and have stolen from my unit! I have no problem with the office staff and get along well with my neighbors, but some people make the place worse than it is. Residents break community windows, laundry facilities, dump trash anywhere and can be loud at times (which doesnt take much as the walls are so thin you can hear every move the neighbors make anyway). I dont mind the apartment because its so cheap, but if I were paying the $725 they usually charge I would probably be pretty pissed.
