Don't listen to bad reviews about management, it simply isn't true..that's one of the best things about these apartments is the management. Living in Kalamazoo as a college town you always find landlords who are unaccomodating and unwilling to work with a variety of situations. I have lived in Redwood going on a year and a half and I'm only moving out because of a free grant to live on campus. If I needed to move back to an apt in Kalamazoo, Redwood would continue to be my number one choice.

Close to campus, only a 5 minute walk so you don't need to buy a ridiculous $300 parking sticker. Within walking distance of renting movies, 7/11, pizza, subs, etc. You couldn't ask for a better location.

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and sure while the buildings might be "old"...maybe built in the 70's or 80's I'd guess, they are HUGE!! A 2 bedroom is around $650 a month and my one girl friend comes over she can't stop talking about how she pays almost the same price for a studio at The Pointe! Okay, so places like The Pointe might be more modernized but you can't beat the price for the square footage here or for the amenities that come with rent. Free heat, cable, water, garbage, laundry, and free internet if you sign a second lease otherwise the internet is decently priced at around $30 a month. So all you pay is rent, electricity, and internet.

Besides the great apartments the management goes above and beyond to help their tenants. Anytime I've had a problem they have maintenance come and fix it immediatly. When my roommate needed to end his lease sooner than he signed on for they worked with him and didn't charge him fees or sue him like so many other places in Kalamazoo do. They simply understand things come up with college students and they work as best they can.

Definitely choose Redwood, you won't regret it!
