My son has lived in this aparment complex for 3 years. My other son will be moving in shortly. My daughter is off to college next year and I would feel very comfortable if she signed a lease with Redwoods as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great. The ammenities are awesome, pool, free laundry, parking. The free heat is also a really nice feature. Heating costs can really add to the cost of a rental. The parking is adequate. As a parent, I am thankful that the office staff knows the renters by name. The way that they collect the rent is also awesome. They work with each tennant individually if there is a late rent issue (room mate situation) instead of holding the entire unit responsible. Sure, the buildings are a little older, but they are safe and sound. Come on, it's student housing, not the ritz. The apartment building that my son lives in is newer than his dorm at WMU was. That tiny little dorm room cost me $6800 for 8 months. (ok, so he had 15 meals a week too, but come on!). Redwood Apts. is a safe and affordable option. Very close to WMU and close enough to KVCC. It's economical enough to make the commute to KVCC worthwhile.
