An overall nice place to live

I've lived her for a year so far and it's not nearly as bad as people seem to make it out to be. Before moving in here, I read the reviews and was actually scared...until I read the reviews for other apartment complexes and realized that people just like to complain.

I like that most of the utilities are already covered, and that the apartments are furnished (what college student has enough furniture for an entire apartment'). Parking can be a hassle on weekends but if you've ever lived in the dorms on campus, you know that this is nothing. Internet is faster than I expected, and maintenance has always fixed whatever within 1 to 2 days. The staff is very friendly and I've never had a problem with them. Appliances DO break down but it's life, things break and at least here you have someone to come fix it for free within 24 to 48 hours. Our garbage disposal broke from a shot glass (our fault) and they still didn't charge us. There's also a lot of events that the office plans which ultimately means free food. My only real complaint is that security isn't better when it comes to keeping non-residents out of the clubhouse. That, and all of the warning notices you get for having one little thing on your patio/porch (they have yet to fine us though, they are empty warnings). Also, they DO warn everyone in the apartment before they come in for inspections (which is only quarterly, not every couple of weeks). Warning is usually given a few days or a week in advance. Also, maintenance & office personnel have always knocked before coming in. There IS trash on the grounds after a party-filled weekend but that really is the students' faults, not the complex. I've seen staff picking up trash multiple times the Monday morning following a crazy weekend.

I enjoy living here so much that I've renewed my lease...and I want to renew it again too. Don't listen to complainers, just take a tour of the place yourself and make your own decision.

P.S. Management has changed in the past year, so anything from before August 2005 is pretty much outdated.

This good rating doesn't help this place at all - you have to have signed a lease months before I even wrote this. Competition is not an issue here.

P.S. I just got robbed shortly after writing this so obviously it's not a perfect place to live. No place is.

Don't get too excited about the free food, that is all a part of your $70 activity fee. Free? Don't think so!
