Where should I start...hmmmm
After I moved I filled out a maintenance request for little things to be fixed. These things ranged from a broken light fixtures, broken mirrors, a broken toilet seat and clogged drains. All of these should have been taken care of BEFORE I moved in. They never came out to fix any thing until I threatened to but my rent money into an Esgro account. The next day they were there.
In the fall, the people who live above me decided to throw a TV off of their balcony. We called security on them and the security guy told us "They said it slipped." Why would they be caring a TV out of their living room, and holding it near the edge of their porch' By the distance that it landed, you could see that it had been thrown, but nothing was done about it.
Later on in the year, my roommates literally went all crazy middle schooler on me and made my life a living hell. I tried to move out and find a completely new place to live but they would not let me out of my lease and all they could do was transfer me on site. I do live in a place with a really awesome roommate but the building is scary ghetto. And, my new room had VOMIT ON THE FLOOR!! They never cleaned it up before I moved in. It was disgusting. I complained 4 times about it and for 3 months, they did nothing. Then I threatened another esgro account and the next day, they were out there with Modernistic cleaning it up.
This is seriously party central. There are parties going on left and right and when you call security on the people who are blasting music at 3:30 in the morning, they don't do anything about it. And like some before me stated that these places had been broken into. My bedroom has it's window on the porch and it scares that crap out of me. Not to mention the fact that the guys who lived there before me kicked down the door quit easily because they felt like it. NOT SAFE! And the key card system is a joke! Half the time the damn thing doesn't work and you have to get a new key!
The only thing nice about it here is your own bedroom and the fact that you have a washer and dryer in unit, but the washer and dryer are pieces of crap. Your clothing gets stuck in spots of the dryer both machines ruin your clothing. I can't wash my whites here unless I wash them in a pillow case because every time I pull them out, they are COVERED in rust stains from the dryer! Lets not mention that n some buildings, the pipes rattle like crazy! I called the front office about it one morning and the woman I spoke to was a total b*tch! I couldn't believe it! She kept talking down to me and acting like it was killing her to be on the phone with me. I've only come across 2 nice people in that office, but they have no idea how to do anything. It's pathetic.
And another thing, if you enjoy the cold, you wont have a problem. Consumers rapes you here because they buildings are so drafty because they were built so quickly. All pf your heat leaves the apartment and it cost WAY to much to pay for heat because you never get to enjoy it because it never stays in the building! Also, the walls are paper thin. I can hear the people above me talking, and I can hear cell phone alarms going off around me in the morning, and they are not mine or my roommates.
Avoid anything advertised as "College Housing" because they are all pieces of ----!! The Pointe looks GREAT on the outside and in the pictures, but the inside is a joke.
Edward Rose places are MUCH nicer, and quieter, and FREE HEAT!!!
