My roommate and I moved in here after we were forced out of our previous apartment due to them shutting down... At first things were great here, quiet clean and friendly, then Christina the office lady left. She really made the place seem homey. After she left my roommate and I really started to see this place for what it truly is... a dump.
Yes the rent is cheap (except it has recently increased to $650 for no apparent reason), and the heat is included(it should be because the huge sliding glass doors do not block any wind in the winter). I think that our heat went completely off at least twice last year, once on Easter. It was 38 degrees when I got home for the weekend, they came later the next day to fix it. Even through all that I thought it was still an O.K place to be. We still had full intentions of staying another year, mainly because it was such a pain in the butt to move in, because of the small mountain we had to scale to carry all of our stuff inside.
About mid april we started to hear very loud hammering right at 8am daily, hammering that lasted all day, we figured that they had decided to renovate the apartment above us. Every move that was made upstairs could be heard plain as day, all this during finals. After about two weeks all the banging and scraping had seemed to cease. Then like clockwork about a month later it all started again, I am assuming because they found someone to rent the apartment. When the people finally moved in upstairs everything they did was able to be detected from us below them. Even walking across the floor. This is unacceptable. I could even hear them using their toilet, yes that is correct.
The hallways are scary and quite disgusting, once the hallway was soaked with water, and soon began to smell terrible!! There are strange holes in the walls and the laundry facility is AWFUL and quite expensive. I refuse to do my laundry there anymore because it seems as if the dryers do not work and if you have anything that is white... be prepared for it to turn yellow. Also anyone and everyone can just walk into the apartment buildings because they are not locked and usually left wide open. This is a problem because these apartments are located in an area that has been home to a few armed robberies in the past few months. How hard can it really be to install a locking mechanism on the doors... they have them on the laundry rooms...
The property manager, Andy,is rude. He is on some sort of power trip and assumes that everyone is not as educated as he. He is also quite passive-aggressive and defensive. The maintenance man is sweet however, and very friendly. I CAN NOT wait to get out of here!! I am literally counting down the days!

If you need somewhere to live that is half-way decent and you don't mind loud noises, please move here. I encourage you to keep looking however because there are lots of other places that are nicer for about the same price.

Someone should tell Andy that Customer Service goes a long way.

I could not agree more with everything in this review, i lived there for a year (2008-2009)and had excatly the same probems
