This place started out on the wrong foot for me. When I walked into my apartment for the first time there were many many problems. The carpeting was so bad there were tons of burn marks in the carpet, plus the apartment had not been cleaned, the dishwasher was so dirty and uncleaned and just fell over when i first opened it. The light fixures and just any place for that matter was covered in dust and dirt like no one even tried cleaning the place, tiles were falling in the shower, and the locks to the door were just in bad shape. Of course i went to the office and that was just very difficult as they did not want to even replace the carpet or fix the problems when they finally agreed they did not offer any help to move the furnature so that new carpet could be put in and would not let me move to another apartment even though there were many empty units. After every thing was eventually fixed to some standard things ran more smoothly but there are other problems such as noise but that all depends on whos living near by as you will hear all the noise that there is. The laundry facilities are very bad so dont even bother with them go to a laundrymate. Safty is so so just to let every one know there was some one killed in one of the units on the Howard street just a couple months ago if they say no to that they are lying as the murder took place in the apartment under mine. They dont really bother plowing much in the winter so make sure u have a shovel so you can dig your car out since the only plowing is just down the center of the roads at the complex. When i lived at Winchell Way they also plowed the parking spots but parking at Whitehall requires parking passes and there are not to many visitor parking spots so good luck with that but if you do want to save some money i guess this is one option. I currently have a modifided 1 bedroom as they just lock the doors to the extra room and bathroom. Make sure if you do move here to make a very detailed list of the inventory when you move in so you dont get screwed also you will need to buy lots of dishwasher cleaner if you want your dishwasher to make the dishes clean. The pictures of the dishwasher now after i have cleaned it with several cycles of the dishwasher cleaner now haveing it looking spotless wonder why they did not bother as a dishwasher in that shape did not clean dishes at all.
