After reading the other reviews, I sure wish I had found this site before renting at Hidden Lakes. I was able to see my apartment before moving in, but since it still needed to be completely cleaned, I presumed it would look much better by the time I moved in. I couldn't have been more wrong. The vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathroom was horrid. After complaining profusely, the flooring was replaced. The carpet should have also been replaced due the seriously thin nature of it along with a hole; instead they chose to patch it, which only comes apart after a few times of vacuuming. The tenants smoke cigarettes in the halls, which I have mentioned to the office and they have even left letters within my building alerting everyone that it is considered a violation of their lease. I complained about it again, since the smoking only continues, but I was conveniently informed by the office that they were not aware of this problem. Let's not forget to mention the fragrance of pot that can even be smelt outside the front door of my apartment building! The noise from my neighbor is awful and wakes me up at night, which has only added to my frustration. Children are free to roam outside during any hour of the night and yes, I have to agree with one of the previous reviewers, the place is pure ghetto and it looks like this place rents to Section 8 tenants. I now rarely stay overnight at my own apartment since things are so awful. There have been other issues, but then I'd be writing a novel. The bottom line is, if anyone opts to sign a lease with this complex, be SURE to pay the additional $199 movers fee in case you end up with a living nightmare like mine. If I would have known things were going to be this bad, I would have paid that without a doubt. The office suggests I rent an ad in the GR Press to sub-lease my apartment. HAH! Why would I ever wish this even on my worst enemy'!'! In the meantime all I can do is continue to complain.
