I will be moving out soon mainly due to Lapeer Rd but the residents either cannot read or do not seem to care about anyone but themselves because they constantly run stop signs - there are children standing waiting for school busse and these insane residents are running stop signs.

Your going to get crazy drivers in any apt complex. I drive carefully because I know there are kids in the complex and have had them run right out in front of me many times. For the records, there are also lots of turtles near the office, so you have to watch out for them as well. The stop signs in the place are totally retarded and counter intuitive. They basically favor people pulling out of the parking lots rather than people on the main road. In some cases the parking lots are elevated over the road or crowded with pickups/suvs that obscure vehicles leaving the lot until the last second. For drivers stopped at the sign on the main road, it's a no win solution. I come to a stop, nobody there, start to go, and somebody comes flying out of the lot. And they're pissed at me because they don't think I've stopped. The stop signs should be replaced by speed bumps if speeding is a problem. They did this for awhile but then they were taken out, probably because some dummies complained.
