Overall I thought these apartments were adequate for the price. They look reasonable and the layout is practical. These were the least expensive apartments I could find within a 15-20 miles of the Chrysler World Headquarters (exit 78 on I-75). They gave me a large move in special, so of course like all apartments, when I went to renew my lease a year later, my new rental rate was significantly higher. It was still a great value compared to other apartments in the area (especially to the south).

The biggest problem I had was a leak coming through the bathroom ceiling. The maintenance staff would fix the leak, but then a few weeks later it would start up again. I think there may have been multiple leaks, and even though the maintenance staff would fix one, the problem would not be completely solved. Eventually the leak was completely fixed.

There's nothing real fancy about these apartments, they're fairly small, and the insulation seems poor. The people living there seem to be younger or low income. No one was too noisy around my apartment. I saw the police there on only one Saturday night over the course of a year and a half.

The apartments are in a residential area with easy access to grocery stores, banks, restaurants, and churches. It is a nice area, although I would not like livng so close to the giant long range power transmission lines for years and years.

Out of all the things that can go bad at apartments, Sycamore Creek Apartments seem pretty good. I enjoyed the location, the price, and my time living there.
