I lived in Blue Spruce for 7 years... from August 1999 - July 2006, and I loved it there. The apartment manager was a sweetie, though sometimes absent minded. I had a ground floor apartment in the building closest to the corner of Barritt & Wood, but never felt that it wasn't safe. The only downside was that I didn't know ANYONE in the building... it was just a quiet apartment. There was one time that the neighbor upstairs was playing really loud music... it was early evening (before 6pm) so normally it wouldn't have bothered me, except that I had a migraine... I went upstairs and knocked on the door and explained and asked if they could turn it down a little. They did. I never had a problem other than that.

The only reason that I left Blue Spruce was that I moved out of Lansing for a job... otherwise I'd probably still be there!
