Decent place to live, got screwed when I left though

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
I was denied the bulk of my security deposit, supposedly for failing to give 30 days notice I was vacating the premises. However I DID give 30 days, just not in writing, and was charged a pro-rated amount for 10 extra days, effectively reducing my security deposit refund to $10. I treated the place perfectly and it was immaculate when I left; so be careful, they are only looking to screw you out of whatever cash they can.
OH yeah, the apartment was ok, laundry facilities were junk though, took them over a 6 weeks to fix the dryer in our building when it broke, despite the fac that I called 3 times a week.
