We have only been here for seven months. We moved in to an unclean apartment; it was a pit! There had been some miscommunication that it was "ready". It took two weeks before they finished cleaining it. The bathtub was cracked and the walls and ceilings needed drywall work for over four months.

Maintenance doesn't show up; you have to call and call continuously. They will hardly ever call you back.

Last month, one of the bedrooms had a roof leak and the entire wall had to be replaced. It ruined our daughter's bed from water damage.
Today, we woke up to the water heater spewing all over our basement. It ruined some priceless belongings like photographs, education certificates, etc. THEY ARE REFUSING TO PAY FOR IT and told us to take it up with our own insurance.
People let their dogs have bowel movements all over the yard and there is no enforcement to clean it up. It is just a terrible place.

The water damage IS NOT something they are responsible for, that is why you get renters insurance, its not their fault that you didn't take precautions.
